The ideal candidate
- Degree in education or a related field (mandatory for the Principal role)
- NQPH or equivalent
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a UK or international school setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and evidence‑based pedagogy
- Proven success in raising academic standards and driving school improvement initiatives
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities
- Capacity to inspire confidence, foster positive relationships, and lead with integrity
- Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of both students and staff
- Experience working with British, international, or blended curricula (e.g., Cambridge, Pearson, IB)
- Familiarity with accreditation processes or school inspection frameworks
- Postgraduate qualification in education or leadership
- Background in diverse, multilingual, or international environments
Facts & Figures
- Location: Tirana, Albania
- Job type: Contract
- Duration: 2 years (renewable)
- Salary range: up to EUR 4000 NETT per month (depending on experience)
- Benefits: Paid summer leave of 28 calendar days per full calendar year, or 40 calendar days if the contract is renewed and completed, inbound flight to Tirana, up to seven hotel nights provided until accommodation is secured, assistance with permits and coverage of translation/notarisation costs in Albania, return flight to home country (one‑way ticket in the final year), Albanian public health insurance and private health insurance, transport to school, tuition fee discount, and housing allowance.
