We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Art & Design Teacher to provide one-term cover, with the possibility that the position could develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Overview
The successful candidate will teach Secondary Art & Design, working with students across Years 7–10.
The teaching allocation will include:
- Art & Design – Years 7–9
- BTEC Art & Design – Year 10
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative and practical lessons
- Supporting students to develop their artistic skills, confidence and individual creative voice
- Encouraging experimentation, reflection and independent thinking
- Contributing positively to the wider Secondary school community
The role would initially be for one term, but there is potential for this to become a longer-term position depending on school requirements and the successful candidate.

This established international school provides a British education from Primary through to Upper Secondary, with students following recognised Cambridge and Pearson pathways. The Secondary school is continuing to develop, with Years 10 and 11 now forming part of the school's expanding Upper Secondary provision.

The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Art & Design at Secondary level
- Be confident teaching students across Years 7–10
- Have experience with Cambridge, IGCSE, BTEC or similar international curricula
- Ideally have experience teaching BTEC Art & Design, or be confident in delivering practical, coursework-based qualifications
- Have international teaching experience or experience working within an international school environment
- Be creative, enthusiastic and adaptable
- Be willing and able to commit to working in Koh Phangan for the initial one-term contract
- Be committed to safeguarding and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
