The school follows a British-style curriculum aligned with the UK National Curriculum and offers Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Levels through both Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel exam boards. With a student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 10:1, the school ensures focused attention and a supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate:
- Holds a degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
- Possesses a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Chemistry at IGCSE and A Level
- Understands the UK National Curriculum
- Brings strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development
- Is open to working in a culturally diverse environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and rigorous Chemistry lessons up to A Level
- Take ownership of curriculum planning and academic standards in Chemistry
- Lead subject-specific administration and maintain up-to-date schemes of work
- Promote best practices in teaching, including effective use of ICT
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, clubs, and trips
