The ideal candidate
- Holds recognized teaching credentials (QTS or TRCN).
- Degree in English or a closely related field such as linguistics or literature.
- Additional certification in TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent EAL qualification is an advantage.
- Ideally brings 2–3 years of experience teaching English as an Additional Language in a British school context.
- Solid understanding of the National Curriculum and established EAL frameworks.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience teaching across a range of age groups.
- Demonstrates adaptability when working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Confident in using language learning technology and digital tools to support progress.
- Background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or relevant training is desirable.
