Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support the developmental needs of children aged 0–5, using a play-based and inquiry-led approach.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being, independence, and positive social interactions.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, using formative and summative assessment strategies to inform teaching and communicate with parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with families, maintaining open communication and involving them in their child’s learning journey.
- Support children with diverse needs, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all learners are included and challenged appropriately.
- Participate in professional development activities, staff meetings, and school events to contribute to the school’s vibrant learning community.
- Maintain a well-organized and stimulating learning environment, including the preparation of resources and displays that reflect children’s interests and achievements.
- Model positive behaviour and attitudes, promoting respect, curiosity, and a love of learning.
The ideal candidate
- Relevant teaching qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching children aged 0–5 in an international or diverse setting.
- Strong knowledge of play-based and inquiry-led learning approaches, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with a genuine interest in working in a multicultural environment.
