Overview

Uzbekistan is famous for its historic cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, which are renowned for their Islamic architecture and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, the country has been undergoing significant economic and social reforms, aiming to modernize its economy and increase global engagement.
The school
The Canadian School in Tashkent, which opened its doors in August 2024, is part of a global network offering top-tier Canadian-style bilingual education. Nestled on an expansive, picturesque campus on the eastern side of Tashkent, it provides a safe, modern, and engaging learning environment. The school offers a trilingual curriculum English, Russian, and Uzbek for children from toddler through primary and now expanding into middle years (ages 2–14), with a strong emphasis on STEM subjects, arts, sports, and critical thinking. With small class sizes (maximum 15 students) staffed by both foreign teachers and teaching assistants the school fosters personalized, immersive learning and thoughtful bilingual development through Canadian educational methodology.

The ideal candidate
-
A bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education, English, or a related field.
-
A recognized teaching qualification or certification in Early Years Education (e.g., PGCE, Montessori, TEFL, or equivalent).

3 years of teaching experience in related field.

Ability to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment.

Highly proficient in English communication skills, both verbal and written.
