Overview
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging and effective English Language and Literature classes to a diverse student body, including students who do not speak English as their first language.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the MYP inquiry-based curriculum, ensuring inclusivity and diversity in student learning experiences.
- Service-Learning Integration: Intentionally embed service-learning opportunities into the curriculum.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in the English department and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
- Pastoral Care: Support students’ social and emotional development, including academic monitoring and adherence to the Student Code of Conduct.
- Professional Growth: Stay current with educational developments through reading, workshops, and in-service courses.

The ideal candidate
- Degree in English Language with a PGCE in Secondary Education
- Previous teaching experience and knowledge of the IB Curriculum
- Manages students’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining a high standard of discipline
- Ensures the very best learning experience for students
- Drive to maintain and improve teaching standards
