Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and bilingual programme
  • Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills across a range of ability levels
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners, including EAL and mixed-ability classrooms
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote active learning, critical thinking, and student engagement
  • Integrate English-medium instruction effectively within a bilingual context

 

The ideal candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status through a Bachelor’s Degree in Education OR a Bachelor’s Degree + PGCE (English / English Literature specialisation)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience teaching English at high school level
  • Strong understanding of English language development and literature across varied ability levels
  • Experience teaching in international, bilingual, or diverse classroom settings is highly desirable
