Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and reflective IGCSE Global Perspectives Teacher to join a leading British International School in Myanmar from August 2026. The successful candidate will guide students to think critically about global issues, evaluate multiple perspectives, and develop key skills in research, collaboration, and communication. You will teach across the Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives curriculum, helping students connect classroom learning to real-world challenges while nurturing open-mindedness and global awareness.

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Have 2–3 years of experience teaching Global Perspectives, Social Studies, or Humanities at the IGCSE level (Cambridge curriculum experience preferred).
  • Demonstrate strong skills in research-based learning, debate, and inquiry-led teaching.
  • Inspire students to become independent thinkers with a global outlook.
  • Show cultural adaptability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student-centred learning.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a diverse international faculty.
  • A collaborative, flexible attitude and commitment to professional growth.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging IGCSE Global Perspectives lessons that encourage critical thinking and independent research.
  • Guide students in developing skills in analysis, evaluation, and communication through collaborative projects and presentations.
  • Design assessments and provide constructive feedback that supports student growth.
  • Integrate global issues and current events into learning experiences.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and the wider life of the school.
