We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and dynamic educator to join a New International School in Malaysia as Head of Co-Curricular Activities.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the co-curricular landscape of the school, ensuring that all activities contribute positively to the student experience. This is a critical leadership position that will collaborate closely with faculty and administration to promote an integrated approach to co-curricular involvement.

 

Overview

The Head of Department (HOD) for Physical Education (PE), Co-curricular Activities (CCA), and Student Leadership is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of a holistic student development programme. This role ensures that PE, sports, co-curricular activities, leadership initiatives, and major school events align with the school’s mission, values, and educational objectives while fostering student well-being, teamwork, and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching certification with substantial experience in PE and co-curricular education.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably in an international environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in event planning, sports management, and outdoor education.
  • Ability to inspire students and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity
  • Passionate about youth development through sports, activities, and leadership.
  • Innovative, proactive, and collaborative approach.
  • High integrity, resilience, and commitment to student well-being.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
