Key Responsibilities

• Lead the whole school EAL department 
• Develop and implement strategies to support students with English language acquisition.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and ensure language accessibility.
• Monitor student progress and adjust support plans accordingly.
• Provide professional development and coaching to staff on EAL best practices.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and school policies related to language support.

The ideal candidate

• BEd Degree or relevant BA Degree with PGCE in your specialist subject
• Extensive experience teaching English as an Additional Language in an international setting
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Head of Department role
• Having taught in the Gulf Region previously would be to your advantage
• An ability to build robust relationships with students and parents
