The ideal candidate

• Academic background — Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Teaching certification — recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent
• Leadership experience — minimum of three years in a Head of Department or similar leadership role within an international school
• Curriculum expertise — strong understanding of international curricula (IB, IGCSE, A Levels, or British system)
• Instructional excellence — proven record of outstanding classroom practice and student achievement
• Mentorship and development — ability to mentor teachers, monitor academic performance, and lead professional growth initiatives
• Communication and organization — exceptional interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
