The ideal candidate

• An honours degree from a British university in a relevant subject area
• A PGCE or equivalent qualification that provides certified teacher status for English teaching
• Previous experience leading a department, ideally as Head of English
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide colleagues
• Expertise in adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual learners
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of student effort and behaviour, supported by effective classroom management
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

Job type: Contract

Duration: 1 year (renewable)

Salary range: Competitive (disclosed directly to candidates on offer)
