We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Inclusion to champion equity, diversity, and student support across our international school community. This pivotal role will lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices, ensuring that every learner—regardless of background, ability, or need—has the opportunity to thrive academically and personally.

Overview

The Head of Inclusion is responsible for developing, leading, and embedding a coherent and effective Inclusion Department, ensuring high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), English as an Additional Language (EAL), and Able and Talented (A&T) students. In line with British Schools Overseas (BSO) standards, the role ensures that all students’ ages, aptitudes, and needs are taken into account; that no student is disadvantaged or discriminated against; and that every learner is enabled to access the curriculum, make strong progress, and fulfil their potential within an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment. As Head of Inclusion, you will also shape strategy, guide teachers in best practice, and collaborate with families and external specialists to create a truly inclusive school culture—making a lasting impact in a forward-thinking institution that values innovation, global-mindedness, and holistic education.

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN), Inclusive Education, or Educational Leadership is highly desirable
  • Experienced in leading inclusive education, with a strong background in supporting SEND, EAL, and Able & Talented students
  • Skilled at developing and embedding whole-school inclusion policies aligned with international standards (e.g., BSO, IB, or similar)
  • Able to work effectively with teachers, families, and external specialists to build a supportive and inclusive learning community
  • Knowledgeable in best practices for differentiation, accessibility, and equity, with the ability to inspire staff development
  • Committed to fostering diversity, equity, and international-mindedness within a multicultural school environment
