The ideal candidate:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Formal leadership qualification (e.g., NPQH or international equivalent).
- Significant teaching experience in Secondary Education.
- Proven leadership experience as a Head of Secondary, Deputy Head, or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of the Cambridge Curriculum or similar international frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in raising academic outcomes and leading school improvement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in an international school environment.
- Commitment to innovation in teaching and learning, including digital education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teaching and learning across the Secondary School in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Oversee curriculum planning and delivery, ensuring progression, inclusion, and exam readiness.
- Use data effectively to monitor student progress, drive interventions, and raise attainment.
- Mentor and develop staff, setting high professional standards and providing regular coaching and feedback.
- Promote innovative teaching practices, integrating technology and 21st-century learning skills.
- Support student guidance and well-being, overseeing behaviour systems, pastoral care, and academic pathways.
- Lead operational management of the Secondary School, including timetabling, examinations, and risk management.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, the wider school community, and external partners.
- Contribute to whole-school strategy and continuous improvement alongside the Principal and leadership team.
