The ideal candidate
- Degree in a relevant therapy field, such as:
- Speech and Language Therapy (SLT)
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Physiotherapy
- Educational Psychology
- Registration with a recognized professional body:
- UK-based: HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
- International equivalents (e.g. ASHA for SLTs, AOTA for OTs, etc.)
- Experience working in schools or educational settings, especially with children aged 3–18.
- Strong understanding of the British curriculum (EYFS, KS1–KS5) and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) framework.
- Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and how therapy integrates into individual education plans (IEPs).
