The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject
  • PGCE, B.Ed. or recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching High School ICT and/or Computer Science
  • Strong knowledge of programming, coding and digital technologies
  • Able to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • International school experience is advantageous
  • Creative, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching

 

Important Certification Requirement

Teachers who do not currently hold a Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate will be required to obtain certification within the first year of employment.

Candidates who are successful are strongly advised to begin the certification process as soon as an offer is received.
