The ideal candidate:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Science Education.
- Has a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level Biology in an international/Cambridge school setting.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in Biology and can deliver practical, inquiry-based lessons.
- Is student-centred, energetic, and able to engage students with hands-on experiments.
- Communicates effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Is adaptable, collaborative, and willing to contribute to the wider school community.
- Shows enthusiasm for professional development and inspiring students in an international school setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging IGCSE and A-Level Biology lessons that foster scientific inquiry and practical understanding.
- Design and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans, assessments, and laboratory activities.
- Conduct practical experiments safely and effectively, integrating them into lessons.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, teaching strategies, and student support.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute positively to the wider school community.
