Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic IGCSE / A-Level Physics Teacher to join our international school in Yangon, Myanmar, starting August 2026. The ideal candidate:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physics or Science Education with a Physics specialisation (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ teaching experience in IGCSE and/or A-Level Physics within a Cambridge or international school setting.
- A proven track record of student achievement and innovative teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience incorporating practical experiments, technology, and real-world applications into lessons.
- Adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to professional growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging IGCSE and A-Level Physics lessons that develop conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Design and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans, assessments, and laboratory activities.
- Lead safe, hands-on experiments and integrate them effectively into lessons.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, teaching strategies, and enrichment activities.
- Participate actively in departmental and whole-school meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular programs.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute positively to the wider school community.
