The ideal candidate:
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ teaching experience at IGCSE or equivalent international level.
- A clear understanding of the Cambridge English curriculum and experience preparing students for IGCSE examinations.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
- A creative approach to teaching that encourages reading, writing, and discussion.
- A collaborative, flexible attitude and commitment to professional growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE framework.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that motivates all learners.
- Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and prepare students for external examinations.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and extra-curricular activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
