We are seeking an experienced IGCSE Extended Mathematics & Additional Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and support students in achieving outstanding results.

The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ problem-solving and analytical skills, and preparing learners for external assessments. Strong subject knowledge is essential, along with the ability to differentiate effectively for a range of abilities. Teachers in this role also contribute to curriculum development, assess student progress, and provide targeted support to help students achieve high academic standards. It is ideal for an experienced educator who is confident teaching rigorous mathematical content in an international school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in IGCSE Extended Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
  • Develop engaging, challenging teaching materials aligned with the curriculum
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress regularly
  • Prepare students effectively for external examinations
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Foster strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Support students academically through feedback, intervention, and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of Extended & Additional Mathematics curriculum
  • Native English speaker
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
