The KS2 Coordinator plays a key middle leadership role, ensuring that teaching, learning, and assessment across Key Stage 2 remain consistently high in quality. This position is central to driving ongoing school improvement and supporting pupils to achieve strong progress from their individual starting points. Alongside delivering excellent classroom practice, the role involves providing strategic direction, supporting staff development, and leading on curriculum initiatives. The post-holder will actively uphold the school’s vision and values while maintaining a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

The ideal candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognised equivalent
- Demonstrates proven success teaching at Key Stage 3
- Possesses a solid understanding of the English National Curriculum or Pearson IPLS framework
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of a well‑structured and inclusive KS2 curriculum in line with the English National Curriculum (KS2 Coordinator)
- Promote consistency and smooth progression throughout KS2, while supporting effective transitions between KS1–KS2 and KS2–KS3 (KS2 Coordinator)
- Shows clear evidence of positively influencing pupil progress and achievement
- Has experience guiding, supporting, or leading fellow colleagues
- Exhibits excellent communication skills and strong organisational ability
- Maintains a firm commitment to safeguarding practices and inclusive education
