The ideal candidate

  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Prior experience teaching KS3 science in a school setting
  • Teaching certification: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with proven classroom experience
  • Engaging pedagogy: Ability to deliver lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation
  • Assessment expertise: Skilled in designing and implementing effective assessments to track student progress
  • Classroom management: Strong ability to create a positive, inclusive, and well‑structured learning environment
  • Student-centered approach: Passionate about supporting diverse learning needs and encouraging independent inquiry
  • Collaborative teamwork: Works effectively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices
  • Extracurricular involvement: Willingness to contribute to science clubs, projects, or enrichment activities beyond the classroom
