The ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music or a Related Field: A degree in music education, music performance, or a related discipline is essential.
- Teaching Certification: A recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, is typically required.
- Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP): Prior experience teaching within the MYP framework is highly desirable. Training or certification in the IB curriculum is an advantage.
- Teaching Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching music, preferably at the middle or high school level in an international or multicultural setting.
- Proficiency in Music Pedagogy: Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and the ability to teach various instruments and genres.
- Experience with String Orchestra.
