An exciting opportunity is available for a Part‑Time A Level Chemistry Teacher in Barcelona. The role involves teaching Pearson Edexcel International A Level Chemistry to sixth form students in their final two years. We are looking for a passionate and well‑organized educator who thrives in small group settings, delivers high‑quality lessons, and supports students in achieving their best outcomes. The position is for 13 hours per week, including 10 teaching hours, planning and preparation, and a weekly staff meeting.

The ideal candidate

  • Holds a recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
  • Experienced in teaching A Level or GCSE Chemistry (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Background in teaching Pearson Edexcel International A Level Chemistry
  • At least two years of classroom teaching experience
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge and confidence teaching Chemistry at sixth form level
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Has proven classroom experience teaching Chemistry
  • Able to plan and deliver clear, engaging, and well‑structured lessons
  • Committed to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring excellent student progress
  • Skilled in supporting both high‑achieving students and those needing additional guidance
  • Highly organized, professional, and an effective communicator
  • Reflective in their teaching practice and open to ongoing professional development
  • Holds the legal right to live and work in Spain
