ASQ International is working with an international school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join its early years team for an immediate start.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Years specialist who is passionate about creating a positive, engaging and nurturing environment where young learners can develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Overview

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the academic, social, emotional and pastoral development of students within their class. You will plan and deliver engaging learning experiences while adapting teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of young learners.

The early years programme draws on international approaches alongside the English Early Years Foundation Stage, with a strong focus on foundational literacy and numeracy.

The Ideal Candidate

• A degree in Early Childhood Education, or a suitable degree with PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in an Early Years or Preschool setting
• Ideally, around three years' homeroom teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of early literacy and numeracy
• Experience supporting students from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Experience supporting students with EAL and/or additional learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills
• A nurturing, positive and inclusive approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of an international school team
