ASQ International is seeking an experienced Primary Homeroom Teacher to join an international school in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, teaching Year 4 students from October 2026.

This role would suit an enthusiastic primary educator who can create engaging learning experiences, build strong relationships with students and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 4 primary class, providing a varied and engaging programme that responds to students' individual learning needs.

Alongside classroom teaching, the role includes participation in school activities, student welfare and wider school responsibilities. The position carries an approximate 75% teaching allocation, with additional responsibilities assigned where required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A BEd or equivalent degree
  • A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, equivalent qualification or relevant higher degree
  • At least five years of teaching and/or teaching leadership experience
  • Primary teaching experience, preferably within an international setting
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
  • A collaborative and flexible approach to school life
  • An interest in extracurricular activities and wider student development
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to supporting students' academic, personal and social development
