Overview

The successful candidates will teach Primary students within a British-curriculum international school environment, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.

The school uses a combination of the Edexcel curriculum and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), with learning delivered through multi-sensory, hands-on and cross-curricular approaches. Students are supported through small classes, personalised instruction and close collaboration between teachers and specialist support staff.

Located in Singapore, the school provides a mainstream international education designed around the individual needs of its diverse student population. With students representing more than 30 nationalities, the school places strong emphasis on inclusion, personalised learning and developing independent, confident learners.

The primary programme covers Years 3–6 and combines core learning in Literacy, Mathematics and Science with the International Primary Curriculum. Students may be grouped according to their individual learning profiles for core subjects, allowing teaching to be targeted at the appropriate level.

Teachers work closely with specialist educators and in-house therapists to provide a holistic and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• A recognised teaching qualification
• Relevant Primary teaching experience
• Experience working with neurodiverse students
• Demonstrable SEN/SEND experience and a strong understanding of inclusive education
• A good working knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and how to apply them in the classroom
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated, accessible and multi-sensory learning
• The ability to adapt curriculum content, teaching strategies and assessment to individual student needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience supporting students with a range of learning profiles and needs
• A collaborative approach to working with specialist teachers, therapists, parents and other support professionals
• A flexible, creative and student-centred approach
• A genuine commitment to helping neurodiverse learners develop academically, socially and emotionally
