Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics, English, Global Perspectives, and Cumulating Project to students according to the requirements of the Cambridge International Curriculum, with a teaching load of up to 20 hours per week.
  • Prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials for class instruction and activities, and manage information on the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Adapt teaching methods, learning strategies, and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students.
  • Conduct assessments of student attainment, monitor student academic progress, and provide pertinent feedback.
  • Establish classroom expectations, observe and evaluate student performance, behaviour, social development, and health.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, or guardians to discuss student progress and address behavioural or academic issues.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional development training, and school events.
  • Plan and work on extracurricular activities such as clubs, academic contests, etc.
  • Perform miscellaneous professional duties as assigned by the Principal/Director.

 

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a preference for those holding a Bachelor in Primary Education.
  • Professional Teaching qualification/license/certification as applicable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience (after obtaining a teaching qualification) in teaching primary subjects in a structured school setting.
  • Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is desired but not essential.
  • Fluent English speaker (minimum C1 fluency).
  • Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Competency in class management, time management, interpersonal relations, and teamwork.
  • Adaptable, patient, flexible, devoted, and a positive outlook.
