The ideal candidate
- Must hold a degree in Psychology or a closely related subject area.
- An internationally recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed in Psychology or a relevant field.
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Psychology at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-level).
- Experience teaching specialist topics such as Research Methods or Advanced Psychology at A-level is an advantage.
- Must be an excellent classroom practitioner with creative and innovative approaches, committed to achieving high academic standards.
- Must have recent teaching experience and up-to-date knowledge of the British National Curriculum for Psychology.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual students.
- Strong collaborative skills, able to manage multiple priorities, set and meet targets, and adopt a solution-focused approach.
- Fully IT literate and confident in using technology to enhance learning.
- Willingness to support and participate in a wide range of school-related activities.
- Understanding of character-based learning and ability to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Commitment to fully adhere to and support the Christian ethos of the school.
- Prior experience teaching in a multicultural international school environment is an advantage.
