Overview

The School Counsellor will serve as a vital member of the academic and pastoral team, supporting students across all age groups in an international school setting. Based in Dibba, Fujairah, the role encompasses guiding learners through academic, social, and emotional challenges, while fostering resilience, wellbeing, and personal growth. The counsellor will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership to ensure a holistic support system that empowers students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

In addition to providing one-on-one counselling and group workshops, the role involves developing proactive wellbeing initiatives, promoting inclusivity, and contributing to a positive school culture. The ideal candidate

• Holds a degree in counselling, psychology, or a related field, with proven experience supporting students across different age groups
• Previous experience in GCC school settings is preferred
• Good English proficiency
• Demonstrates compassion, patience, and excellent listening skills, creating a safe and supportive environment for students to share and grow
• Works effectively with teachers, parents, and leadership, while embracing the diverse, multicultural setting of an international school in Dibba, Fujairah
