The ideal candidate
- Qualified and professionally accredited counsellor with a degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field, and membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, ACA, or equivalent).
- Experienced in working with children and adolescents, ideally within a school or educational setting, with a strong understanding of developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Skilled in safeguarding and child protection, with a sound understanding of early intervention, risk assessment, and maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Culturally aware and emotionally intelligent, able to build trust and rapport with students and families from diverse international backgrounds in a sensitive and inclusive manner.
- Collaborative and proactive team player, confident in working with teachers, leadership teams, and parents to support whole-school wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive school climate.
