Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic School Counselor to join an American curriculum international school in Kuwait for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role is ideal for a qualified professional who is passionate about supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development in a diverse, multicultural environment.

The School Counselor will work closely with students, parents, and staff to provide guidance services, implement wellness programs, and promote a positive school climate. The ideal candidate will be proactive, culturally sensitive, and committed to fostering student well-being and resilience.

Located in the heart of Kuwait, this well-established private K–12 institution has been a cornerstone of international education in Kuwait since the 1960s. It follows an American-based curriculum and is accredited by the Middle States Association, offering a comprehensive academic program from early childhood through high school.

The ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• 2+ years’ recent experience in a school counseling role
• Experience in an International or American curriculum school setting is preferred
• Passionate about supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development across all grade levels.
• Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment and skilled in culturally responsive counseling practices.
