The school
For more than four decades, this international institution in Cologne has supported a diverse community of learners, offering students the opportunity to pursue the dual award within the IB Diploma or IB Careers Programme. What began as a modest initiative has developed into a flourishing school of over 800 pupils, ranging in age from 2 to 18 and representing more than 50 different nationalities. The ideal candidate
- Holds a recognized teaching qualification in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ classroom teaching experience at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Drama across a range of age groups, including examination classes
- Skilled in directing and supporting student performances, productions, and extracurricular drama activities
- Able to design and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence, collaboration, and self‑expression
- Passionate about fostering creativity while supporting students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management and ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage rehearsals, productions, and academic responsibilities
- Collaborative team player, eager to contribute to the wider school community and cross‑curricular projects
- Reflective practitioner, committed to professional growth and innovation in teaching practice
