We're seeking passionate Secondary English Teachers to join an established international school in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Overview

You'll teach Secondary / High School English in a supportive international environment, helping students become confident readers, writers, communicators and critical thinkers. You'll bring your subject knowledge to life through engaging lessons covering language, literature and communication, while supporting students to achieve their academic goals. There will also be opportunities to contribute to wider school life and collaborate with colleagues as part of an international teaching team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field
  • PGCE, B.Ed. or recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Secondary / High School English
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Genuine passion for literature, language and communication
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations is advantageous
  • Previous international school experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Able to inspire and engage students
  • Collaborative, adaptable and culturally aware

 

Important Certification Requirement

Teachers who do not currently hold a Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate will be required to obtain certification within the first year of employment.

Candidates who are successful are strongly advised to begin the certification process as soon as an offer is received.
