We are seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary Science Teacher to join our international school from August 2026. The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Science Education (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics preferred).
  • Has a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience teaching secondary Science in international or Cambridge (IGCSE/ALevel) schools.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across multiple science disciplines and can teach more than one science subject if needed.
  • Is studentcentred, energetic, and able to create engaging, practical, and inquiry-based lessons.
  • Communicates effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Is adaptable, collaborative, and willing to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Shows enthusiasm for professional development and for inspiring students in an international school setting.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging secondary Science lessons (IGCSE & A‑Level) that foster inquiry, critical thinking, and practical learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans, assessments, and activities.
  • Conduct practical experiments safely and effectively in well-equipped Science labs.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, teaching strategies, and student support.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the school’s ethos and values, contributing positively to the wider school community.
