The ideal candidate

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) for secondary History teaching (PGCE and QTS – essential)
  • Experience teaching A Levels and IGCSE
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching in a UK school setting
  • Deep and thorough relevant subject knowledge
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to collaborate on planning and resource development
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners
  • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour, supported by effective classroom management
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to contribute positively to the success of the department

Duration: 1 year (renewable)

Salary range: Competitive  (disclosed directly to candidates on offer)
