ASQ International is seeking a committed and experienced SEND Coordinator to lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities across the whole school. Overview
The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of effective SEND strategies, ensuring that all students with additional needs are supported to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to coordinate interventions, monitor progress, and promote inclusive practices throughout the school.
This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with experience in SEND coordination, a strong understanding of inclusive education, and a passion for creating equitable learning environments. International experience is welcomed but not essential.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate is a passionate and committed educator with a strong foundation in Special Education Needs.
- Should have a minimum of three years teaching experience, following the acquisition of a Bachelor of Education degree/PGCE/PGDE/QTS
- SENDCO qualifications like The National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) and the ASN/ SEN Learning Support Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) are an added advantage
- Must have previous experience as a whole school (Primary & Secondary) SEN Coordinator, or have the experience to take this next step in your career
- Previous experience of managing therapists and counsellors
- A commitment to supporting the wider life of the school and boarding house
- Experience and knowledge, as well as a passion for teaching students with special educational needs
- Be able to coordinate and support education plans for students with SEN across Primary and Secondary
- A commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the School and support of the School’s policies and procedures
- Resilience and the ability to work well under pressure; ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
