An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Year 1 Homeroom Teacher to join an established international school in Myanmar for an August 2026 start. Overview

As a Year 1 Homeroom Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom where young learners feel confident to explore, question, communicate and grow. You will deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, inquiry and social development while encouraging independence, creativity and a genuine love of learning. You will also work closely with colleagues and families to ensure each child receives the support and challenge they need to thrive.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant degree with PGCE/QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Year 1, Key Stage 1 or equivalent
  • International teaching experience is essential
  • Experience with Cambridge Primary or another recognised international curriculum is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of child-centred and inquiry-based learning
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Creative, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom
